I am back from a week in Saudi where there was magic in Alula’s serenity. In contrast, Jeddah and Riyadh were frantic and business as usual, unlike the UAE.
For those of you outside our region, news of a ceasefire yesterday initially brought a collective sigh of relief, however interceptions have continued here, and Lebanon faced its heaviest assault to date from Israel. So it’s yet another waiting game to see what unfolds over the next few days.
Someone smart explained to me years ago that there’s no point stressing about things out of our control - so I’m able to compartmentalise relatively well, which is incredibly liberating, and eases my mind. I’m sharing this here, should it help anyone struggling at the moment.
