I’m happily ensconced back home in Cyprus working from here over the summer, however I am jetting off to the UK this weekend. London for catching up with friends and Mr S’ birthday. Herefordshire for a 40-strong (or mad?!) family reunion in a big rented farmhouse. And Wales for a trip down memory lane with my Welsh-born dad. Restaurant bookings are in the diary (following months of research obviously), however should you have any must-tries, please feel free to share.

On the back of new openings and restaurant closures, I have expanded my guide to private dining rooms, known as PDRs in our industry lingo. Whether you’re looking to book a social celebration, a corporate team function or even a masterclass, these homegrown venues should provide some inspiration.

So…I give you 31 private dining rooms (up from 25 last year) across 23 very diverse restaurants in Dubai, with some even boasting two PDRs.
