Savoury tray bakes, just like home-cooked meals, delivered straight to your door. The Dining Duets finale with Vietnamese Foodies and Odeon. And a dinner for my tribe of annual paid subscribers.
Last night I had dinner at the hotel with nine restaurants. I went to Mirabelle which is part of a group of four restaurants collectively called The Fore. They share a bar that I suspects serves the drinks to all 4 resulting in delays in getting drinks and water. I suspect they may even share a common kitchen but I’m not sure. Why make nine mediocre restaurants. Surely 2 or 3 excellent ones is better. All I can say about my dinner is, lots of room for improvement.
We walked around the hotel to try and decide where to go for a sundowner before our dinner booking. And I popped into The Fore. It's very odd to walk straight into that very tight bar space which then leads onto the restaurants...like a maze. Definitely one kitchen. Rialto, the Italian restaurant also has a Burj-facing bar but the view is shrouded. You're definitely right with quality over quantity for sure, but at least Jumeirah has developed its own concepts and leased out a couple to independents - rather than wasting money by paying big bucks on royalty fees to celeb chefs like Kerzner!
Dubai has so many amazing restaurants, FooDiva is a great resource for finding new ones worth trying on your next visit. Thanks for sharing this!!
Thanks Caroline. I can't keep up with all the new openings!
It always was hectic - it must be crazy now!
