Nominations for aspirational female restaurateurs leading their businesses are always much appreciated. They might not be on my radar - and could land themselves a feature here.

And now let’s hear from…
Panchali Mahendra - CEO of Atelier House Hospitality behind 11 Woodfire, Mohalla & soon-to-open Gerbou, amongst other restaurant concepts.
Top three go-to, favourite restaurants in the UAE. She may have sneaked in four 😜
Takahisa at Banyan Tree Bluewaters for excellent Japanese food, attention-to-detail and quality ingredients.
Mythos in JLT is the OG for Greek food here in Dubai. I also love the homely vibe.
For something casual, Khoory Special Kebab in Dubai’s Al Mamzar district. Solid Iranian kebabs and value-for-money.
Kinoya, the Japanese izakaya by chef Neha Mishra in the Greens. High quality Japanese food without leaving a dent in my pocket. Easy for me to grab a great bowl of ramen close to my home.
One home country restaurant:
Bukhara in Delhi is the restaurant that invented dal Bukhara (black dal) when it opened nearly fifty years ago, championing perfection and consistency. The miniscule menu consists solely of kebabs and dal with naan bread. Nothing else. A pioneer of the open-plan kitchen concept that celebrates showmanship. A must-visit for all travellers.
One restaurant located elsewhere internationally:
Septime in Paris is one of the world's best restaurants. A relaxed, informal vibe. Food is unpretentious, simply presented with local ingredients. An outstanding wine programme.
