Nominations for aspirational female restaurateurs leading their businesses are always much appreciated. They might not be on my radar - and could land themselves a feature here.

And now let’s hear from…
Fay Economides, executive managing director of M Management Company that owns Mythos, Nola and Kilikio, shares her favourite restaurants.

Top three go-to, favourite restaurants in the UAE:
Bait Maryam: A fellow JLT gem, I cherish the authenticity, love and unwavering quality, as well as consistency of the Palestinian food that is obviously prepared with great care and passion.
11 Woodfire: What I appreciate most about this restaurant is the cooking with fire; fun collaborations; unique and delicious non-alcoholic concoctions; a knock-out burger; and the modern feel of a made-over Jumeirah villa.
Maisan15: This artsy, quirky, down-to-earth and off-the-beaten track new favourite of mine, is where you will find the most delicious, fluffy hot bread to pair with divine dips and mouthwatering shakshouka.
One home country restaurant:
I went to school in Bahrain and have been eating at Sato in the Gulf Hotel Bahrain since my teens. A case study in consistency, with the food, ambience and service remaining wonderfully steady for decades. It's where I got my first taste of Japanese cuisine. Sato has a special place in my heart.
One restaurant located elsewhere internationally:
Mouragio Fish Tavern in Alyki, Paros, Greece: The quintessential fish taverna on the water in a quiet fishing village on the island of Paros. The best seafood in the world. End of story.
